As I look out across the desert, Shoshone, Arapaho, Clovis, Cheyenne, Homesteaders, ranchers, uranium miners, We've all watched the movements of clay and of sand. Chorus: Wyoming, I belong in your valleys, Your wandering rivers and flowering meadows, Wyoming, your rocks, your eagles and skies, I may wander all over, but my heart stays right here. Sifting through the depths of time, Reptiles roamed here by land and by sea, Prairie chickens, they strut and they dance now, Nothing stays here indefinitely. Chorus Antelope skip across the Red Desert, Boom and bust, it's been all along, Wyoming has a way of changing, Someday soon this will all be gone. Chorus Like gods we perch atop the mountain, Crevices cradle the life within, Live like the wind or Wyoming will lose you, The changing face of a timeless land. about

Frost and Fire spent an afternoon in Burlington, VT, recording demo tracks at a beautiful house called Ravencroft. The goal was simple: invite listeners "into the living room" and show them our sound without amplification, adjustment, or digital trickery. Some sets are oriented toward particular styles of dance, while others are concert pieces--we hope that all of them show Frost and Fire as a fun-loving group of musicians who weave ever-changing textures into great tunes and gorgeous songs.

These are live recordings from a pair of room microphones, with no editing. Ravencroft has a resident cat who contributed vocals to some tracks; we paid her advance royalties in cat food.

We look forward to seeing you at a dance or concert soon!

More tracks will be released through December 2011.
